From early 2011 till Nov 2012 the Bendigo Sustainability Group, in partnership with the Mount Alexander Sustainability Group and Sustainability Victoria, ran a Solar PV bulk buy program in the Bendigo and Castlemaine areas. This program provided assistance and support for households throughout the entire installation and connection process. During its time of funding the Goldfields SolarHub project assisted with the installation of 648 solar PV systems in the Bendigo and Mount Alexander region, with a total output of 1.9MW!
