A Vision for Transport in Bendigo!

The BSG Policy Action Group met for the first time on 28th April 2011 where we discussed the current City of Greater Bendigo Draft Road Transport Strategy, came up with some key messages and put together some initial thoughts on a vision for transport in Bendigo.  Here is a summary of our thinking so far.

We put together a submission based on the thinking and conversations we've been having!  We had the opportunity to present this to Council in July and we are now waiting to hear from Council re the next steps. We'll keep you posted ....

100% Renewable Energy for our City!

Imagine what it would be like if Bendigo and surrounding region were powered entirely by clean renewable energy! Imagine the new jobs and new investment we could create. Imagine not having to rely on transmitting electricity generated from polluting fossil fuels, but from locally community owned renewable energy!

That’s what we’ve imagined at the BSG and that’s why we are taking part in a national campaign to give renewable energy a fair go.

We are doing our bit in Bendigo with programs such as the Goldfields SolarHub, but there is so much more we could do if more support was given at State and Federal levels for renewable energy.

Find out here what we've been doing recently in Bendigo to get this message across ....
